Alexa Yassi is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and has been practicing for over 10 years. She completed her undergraduate work in Psychology and obtained her master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at Arizona State University.
Alexa has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). EFT is a model developed by Sue Johnson and uses attachment theory to help adults reconnect to each other and repair relationship hurts. She also specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma. EMDR has been proven effective for the treatment of PTSD.
Alexa is also an approved Clinical Supervisor through the AZBBHE and provides supervision to other professionals in the field as they work towards independent state licensure.
With compassion and understanding, she works with clients to ensure therapy is done in a manner that is genuine, respectful, safe, and confidential. Her passion is to help people reconnect to their authentic selves, build deeper connections and discover the road to wholehearted living.
